Improve drug emulsification and homogeneity with ultra-high shear mixer

Consider upgrading your emulsification and homogenization process to an ultra-high shear mixer to obtain finer droplet sizes and handle higher viscosity emulsions.

Throughout the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries, rotor/stator mixers are commonly used to prepare emulsions—from flavors and colorants to creams, ointments, and gels. Rotor/stator devices (also known as high-shear mixers) are available in batch or tandem configurations and usually consist of a four-blade rotor that rotates at high speed in a fixed stator. With the rotation of the blades, the material is continuously sucked into one end of the mixing head and discharged at high speed through the opening of the stator. The resulting hydraulic shear promotes rapid mixing, breaks down solid agglomerates and reduces the size of droplets in the emulsion.
